Breathtaking & Unbelievable

There are a great many interpretations for Coldplay's song, Yellow, and I'd like to try mine. Well, Yellow marks the popularity of Coldplay and then becomes the classic. As Chris Martin(the vocalist) had mentioned that he could not find the right words for the song's lyrics and its specific notion, which he deemed a missing key word in the lyrics, to fit the song's concept. He looked around the studio and found the telephone directory, Yellow Pages, which happened to be situated nearest to him. And Martin later titled the song "Yellow" as a reference to the directory. This kind of spontaneity pours into this song and presents the elements of simplicity in nature and the transformation between the lines. First, the natural archetypes of this song can be the "stars," "skin," and "bone" since they don't need to put something artificial with embellishment. Seen in this light, these features somehow relate to the simplicity of nature in itself. The motif of yellow in the song is due to the relationship and interaction between "you" and the "stars," extending the notion of how yellow is created. And others in the middle are given more details to demonstrate the feeling deeply for the song.

/Look at the stars; look how they shine for you
And everything you do
Yeah, they were all yellow/

Another uniqueness might be the transformation of showing the beauty such as "Look how they shine for you," "skin and bone turn into something beautiful," and "For you I'd bleed myself dry." It also denotes the significance of enhancing its essence by transforming the original into something worthful for singing in high-pitched tunes. Here the phrases reveal the movement in changing and fluid which trigger a kind of beauty in transformation. In addition, there are something interesting I've discovered in terms of structure in transformation. The first stanza shows "Yeah, they were all yellow," but why does the last stanza disappear? As I've mentioned that "Yellow" here concludes from the relationship between "you" and "stars," the meaning of "Look at the stars; look how they shine for you" can be the notion of showing yellow. Therefore, the last stanza can be neglected by showing this concept again. Besides, compared to the first stanza, it appears that last stanza stays long and graceful for the high pitch rather than show the concept and the result of "yellow" soon, and this long high-pitched tune somehow falls on "you," which means it has transformed its notion based on the individuality for anyone rather than mere color, yellow. Have you noticed them?

/Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And all the things that you do/

Well, I know it's harsh to analyze this song since I might ruin its own beauty. Nevertheless, speaking to the beauty in this song, in my opinion, it combines the elements of Brit-rock guitar with poetic lyrics and tunes. What's more, the last part of continuously singing "Look how they shine for you" is freaking fantastic! I mean it! For me, I never get sick of listening to this song, truly. This is incredibly amazing since there are few songs that you can rely on them for listening thousands of times and never get tired! Oh, god, what a song... that can be breathtaking & unbelievable.
And, most importantly, it's your turn... have your full senses immerse in this song, please, my last request
